Miuz is a small UK music tech company. We make AI tools for producers - built around the belief that the best software stays out of your way, and that creative work deserves a record.
The company
Miuz Ltd is registered in England & Wales. We're building an AI-assisted music production suite - tools that augment how producers work, not replace how they think.
The market currently offers two things: bloated legacy software and underbaked AI gimmicks. We're building the gap between them - focused, fast, and honest about what the tools can and can't do.
We're pre-commercialisation. Not because we're not ready - but because we're building this properly. Early access is open. Pricing unlocks at launch.
Built and registered in England. A small company with no outside pressure to ship before it's right.
Currently in structured early access. We're refining the platform with real users before pricing goes live.
All session data stays local by default. We don't own your provenance record - you do. Nothing goes to the cloud unless you push it yourself.
What we believe
The best studio software has always been the kind you stop noticing. The interface stops being a thing you interact with and becomes a space you work in. That's the standard we build to - nothing on screen that doesn't earn its pixel count.
AiWen is a collaborator, not an autocomplete. Every suggestion can be rejected. Every analysis stays local. We consider it a design failure if a producer ever feels like the AI is driving the session instead of them.
As AI-generated content proliferates, the value of demonstrably human creative work increases. We're building tools that help artists establish genuine creative authenticity - a permanent record for people who care about what they made and how. So when anyone asks, you can show them.
VelvetDAW is free on every tier, forever. Your provenance record is exportable. Your session data stays on your machine. We make money when the tools are good enough to justify paying for - not by making it painful to leave.
We don't ship a marketing roadmap as a product. We're pre-commercialisation for a reason. The holding page is deliberate. When it says "coming soon," we mean it - not "sign up and we'll tell you later."
The team
Small by design. Focused by necessity.
Music producer, system designer and the person responsible for the provenance architecture, AiWen's creative direction, and the question "what would this look like if it actually worked."
We're early. The team grows as the build does. If Miuz is doing something you want to be part of - reach out directly at hello@miuz.co.uk.
We're building relationships with people in music, IP law, and AI research. Formal advisory board will be public at commercialisation.
Get involved
We're building this with people who care about it. Early access is invite-based for now - but the door is open. Come in through The Mindful Dispatch.
